RESOLAR Completes Series A Financing Worth Tens of Millions of Yuan, with Strategic Investments from Ronghe Technology and CITIC Environmental Industry Fund

In July 2025, RESOLAR Energy Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("RESOLAR") announced the completion of a tens of millions of yuan Series A financing, which was jointly invested by the investment platform of China Power Investment Ronghe Technology and CITIC Environmental Industry Fund , and the previous round of financing investor Bright Capital continued to increase its investment. This round of financing will focus on the research and development and production base expansion of RESOLAR.

The representative of this round of investors said: "Photovoltaic recycling is a rare industry field with huge potential market size and strong development certainty . With its many years of industrial experience and leading technological advantages in the field of resource recycling, the RESOLAR team will surely achieve outstanding achievements in this emerging field of photovoltaic recycling!"


The green disassembly technology independently developed by RESOLAR can achieve efficient recycling and utilization of glass, metal, silicon materials and other materials in retired PV modules. Its first domestic 10,000-ton production line independently invested and built has achieved mass production of multiple categories such as recycled glass, aluminum, connecting ribbons, silicon materials, etc. in Fengyang, Anhui.


In 2024, under the leadership of the PV Committee of China Green Supply Chain Alliance (China ECOPV Alliance) , RESOLAR, together with Trina Solar and other companies, successfully developed the world's first fully recycled PV module , which won the first prize in the Second Energy Electronics Industry Innovation Competition of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and was selected into the "2024 China Photovoltaic Recycling White Paper" and the "2024 China Wind and Photovoltaic Equipment Recycling Industry Development Report". In 2025, RESOLAR was selected into the first batch of "Recommended List of Retired Wind Power and Photovoltaic Equipment Recycling Enterprises" .

A 100 billion-level market is ready to take off

According to the forecast of PV Committee of China Green Supply Chain Alliance (China ECOPV Alliance) , under the conventional retirement scenario in China, the cumulative photovoltaic retirement volume will reach 1 million tons, 12 million tons and 55 million tons in 2030, 2040 and 2050 respectively; under the early retirement scenario, it will reach 4 million tons, 23 million tons and 66 million tons respectively.

Policy support helps industry development

Driven by the national "dual carbon" strategy, the photovoltaic recycling industry has ushered in policy dividends:

The 2024 "Special Management Measures for Central Budget Investment in Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction" clearly stipulates that financial support of no more than 15% of the total investment will be provided for the recycling of retired wind power and photovoltaic equipment projects, with a maximum subsidy of 100 million yuan for a single project.

The 2024 “Implementation Plan for Large-Scale Equipment Renewal in Key Energy Areas” focuses on encouraging the renewal of high-efficiency photovoltaic module equipment .

In 2025, the "Notice of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance on Stepping up and expanding the implementation of large-scale equipment renewal and consumer goods trade-in policy in 2025" proposed to clarify the equipment renewal goals, tasks and implementation plans by field and industry .

The 2025 "Guidelines for the Establishment of Energy Industry Standards Program" lists the replacement of old photovoltaic power stations and the recycling and reuse of decommissioning PV modules as key directions for the establishment of the 2025 Energy Industry Standards Program.

The 2025 "Ecological Environment Code (Draft)" proposes that "China shall establish and improve a responsibility system for the handling of retired equipment of wind power and photovoltaic power generation companies ."

Starting from June 2025, all existing new energy projects will be fully traded in a market-based manner, and the minimum electricity price will be gradually cancelled, forcing companies to improve their competitiveness by updating photovoltaic equipment .

In 2024, Zhejiang Province proposed a goal of completing the retirement of more than 100,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic installed capacity by 2027, among which Pinghu City provided a subsidy of 0.2 yuan/watt for qualified replacement projects. Qinghai, Shaanxi and other provinces focused on supporting the transformation of old power stations that have been in operation for more than 10 years . Qinghai Province clearly stated that the proportion of support for replacement projects shall not exceed 15% of the approved total investment.

In 2025, Qinghai, Jiangsu and Hebei will issue technical specifications for pollution control in the utilization and disposal of retired photovoltaic equipment and strengthen recycling standards.
