The world's first fully recycled photovoltaic module jointly manufactured by RESOLAR will be launched soon

On February 21, 2025, the "2025 Annual Meeting of the Photovoltaic Recycling Industry Development Cooperation Center and the 7th Photovoltaic Equipment Recycling and Recycling Technology Forum" hosted by the ECOPV of the China Green Supply Chain Alliance will be held in Xiuzhou, Jiaxing.

During this forum, a milestone achievement will be released: the world's first fully recycled photovoltaic module. After recycling, disassembly, material purification and reuse, the waste photovoltaic modules have achieved a magnificent "rebirth". This not only marks the feasibility of recycling and high-value recycling of photovoltaic modules in China, but also demonstrates to the world the historic step taken by China's photovoltaic industry on the road of green, recycling and sustainability.

This fully recycled photovoltaic module is a major achievement of the fully recycled photovoltaic module project, which was led by the ECOPV of the China Green Supply Chain Alliance, undertaken by ECOPV's vice chairman  Trina Solar Co., Ltd., and jointly participated by RESOLAR Energy Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Yongzhen Technology Co., Ltd., Flat Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Zhongju Materials Co., Ltd., and other board corporations.

Trina Solar Central Research Institute has successfully manufactured the world's first fully recycled photovoltaic module by recycling the waste photovoltaic module recycled by RESOLAR. After testing, this TOPCon 210N-66 recycled photovoltaic module (height 2384mm*width 1303mm) has a conversion efficiency of up to 20.7% and a power of more than 645W, marking a breakthrough in my country's recycling and reuse of waste photovoltaic modules!

RESOLAR recycles waste photovoltaic modules to obtain aluminum frames, PV glass, silicon materials and silver. Trina Solar gives these products to partners such as Yongzhen and Flat Group to prepare recycled photovoltaic aluminum frames, recycled PV glass panels and recycled silver paste. The photovoltaic module is made of 100% recycled silicon wafers, 100% recycled silver paste, 100% recycled aluminum frames and 20% recycled PV glass. At the same time, the pre-researched 100% renewable shell junction box, lead-free connecting ribbon  and dealcoholized silica gel are used, combined with the easy recycling design concept, and encapsulated with TPO thermoplastic film provided by Zhongju Materials.
