We will speed up the construction of various systems and infrastructure, and strive to launch the national voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction trading market as soon as possible within this year.

Voluntary emission reduction projects such as forestry carbon sequestration, renewable energy, methane emission reduction, energy conservation and efficiency enhancement will enter the CCER market!

At present, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment is accelerating the preparatory work before the launch of the voluntary emission reduction trading market in accordance with the requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and has made positive progress.

The first is to clarify the main institutional arrangements for the voluntary emission reduction trading market. Taking serving the "dual carbon" goal as the fundamental starting point, highlighting the "voluntary" attribute, and strengthening market integrity management and information disclosure. At present, the "Greenhouse Gas Voluntary Emission Reduction Trading Management Measures (Trial)" has been drafted in conjunction with relevant departments, as well as supporting management systems such as project development and implementation specifications, validation and verification rules, and will soon be open to the public for comments.

The second is to openly solicit methodological suggestions for voluntary emission reduction projects from the whole society in the form of "open-door decision-making". The selection and evaluation work is currently being carried out, and the voluntary emission reduction market support areas will be gradually expanded in accordance with the principle of "one mature, one released".

The third is to basically complete the infrastructure required to start the voluntary emission reduction trading market. Organized the construction of a unified national voluntary emission reduction registration system and trading system, and organized the drafting of registration rules and transaction settlement rules. At present, the two systems have completed preliminary acceptance and have the basic conditions for online operation.
