The "Catalogue" divides solid waste (excluding hazardous solid waste, the classification and codes of hazardous waste are in accordance with the "National Hazardous Waste Catalog") into 5 categories: industrial solid waste , domestic waste, construction waste, agricultural solid waste and other solid waste Secondary classification. Wasted photovoltaic modules are classified as renewable waste under industrial solid waste, and the waste code is 900-015-S17. Among them, 900 represents the decommissioned photovoltaic module production industry, 015 is the sequence code of the waste photovoltaic module, and S17 is the category code of the secondary classification of decommissioned photovoltaic modules (the secondary classification code segment is from "S01" to "S99"). S17 represents Renewable waste in industrial solid waste (the industrial solid waste section is "S01-S59" (excluding S08)).

The issuance of the waste code for decommissioned photovoltaic modules clarifies the requirements for decommissioned photovoltaic modules as general industrial solid waste. It will provide normative guidance for the standardized processing of the disassembly, transportation, dismantling and recycling of decommissioned photovoltaic modules.
