Taking a standard module of 1.635 square meters as an example, when the purification accuracy is not high, the recycling value of a single module can reach more than 10 USD. If it reaches high purity, the recycling value of a component can reach about 29 USD.

The recyclable value of glass (one component) is about 2.6 USD, the aluminum frame is about 4.14 USD, and the silver is 1.9 USD. These three kinds can account for 80% of the entire recycling. It's around 4.3 USD.

The person in charge of a component recycling company in Changzhou, Jiangsu said that the company has increased capital investment in recent years and used actual data from multiple production lines to verify the commercial possibilities of different technical routes. Even so, the reporter found that the component recycling industry is full of chaos. Many companies that do not have the conditions for recycling are buying in large quantities, while those that meet environmental protection conditions are operating at a loss. This is because the qualification standards for photovoltaic module recycling companies are not clear, and commercialization will take time.
