The BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest is an important brand event for implementing the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership. The competition has set up five tracks: "Artificial Intelligence - Big Model", "Intelligent Manufacturing - Intelligent Equipment", "Green Industry - Low-carbon Technology and Application", "Low-altitude Industry - General Aviation", and "Energy Electronics - Photovoltaic and New Energy Storage". It solicits innovative products, applications, standards, technologies, and creative projects from BRICS enterprises, research institutes, universities, industry associations, industrial parks, scientific and technological talents, and outstanding young people.

This year's competition set up the "Energy Electronics-Photovoltaic and New Energy Storage" track for the first time. The selection competition was launched in Brazil and China, focusing on the main fields of solar photovoltaics, new energy storage products, key terminal applications, key information technology, etc. to collect projects. A total of more than 300 companies, universities, research institutes and individuals contacted to participate. After the formal review, preliminary review, expert selection and on-site defense of the three directions of innovative technology, innovative products and innovative applications, 35 outstanding projects were finally selected for the finals of the BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest 2024.

On August 7, 2024, RESOLAR won the Outstanding Project Award for its "Decommissioned Photovoltaic Module Recycling and High-value Utilization Technology" and "Forecast of China's Photovoltaic Module Recycling Market" projects in the Qualifying Round of the Energy Electronics-Photovoltaics and Newenergy Storage Track in BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest 2024 , and advanced to the finals with 33 other projects. On September 4, 2024, the two projects won awards again in the finals in Xiamen.
