Energy Review, sponsored by Yingda Media Investment Group Co., Ltd., was launched in January 2009 and is my country's first energy economics review magazine. The magazine is mainly distributed to decision-makers, researchers, managers, investors and people from all walks of life who are concerned about energy issues. Since its launch, the magazine has grown rapidly and has been highly praised by the industry and all walks of life. It was awarded the title of "Most Promising Media in 2010" by the General Administration of Press and Publication.

The article "Technological Innovation Promotes Green Recycling of Photovoltaic Equipment" was written by Gangqi  Cheng, director of the Wind and Solar Equipment Recycling Professional Committee of the China Material Recycling Association.

The China National Resources Recycling Association (CRRA) was established in 1992. It is a national corporate legal person industry organization approved and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China. It is one of the largest industry self-regulatory organizations for renewable resource recycling in China.

The article emphasizes the broad prospects of the photovoltaic module recycling market, pointing out that its main sources include: scrapped modules in the production process, natural disasters such as Super Typhoon Yagi (No. 11 in 2024), which resulted in the scrapping of photovoltaic modules with an installed capacity of about 100,000 kilowatts, and power station modules that were retired early due to inefficiency.

In 2023, the scale of photovoltaic module recycling and processing in my country is about 60,000 kilowatts, with a total of 109,091 photovoltaic modules (operational losses are not included in the statistics). It is estimated that by 2030, the recycling value of photovoltaic modules will exceed 10 billion yuan (calculated based on 2 million tons of recycling); with the rapid release of the photovoltaic market, by 2040, the cumulative recyclable value of photovoltaic modules is expected to reach 110 billion yuan (calculated based on 17.5 million tons of recycling).

RESOLAR's recycling technology was featured as a photovoltaic module recycling technology that has been industrialized in the market. The "GST Green Separation Method" independently developed by RESOLAR combines the advantages of physical and chemical methods. Through the combination of self-developed materials, equipment and processes, it achieves a high front-end separation rate, and the back-end purification can produce 6N (99.9999%) grade silicon materials, successfully realizing the full cycle of silicon materials and metals from retired photovoltaic modules to new photovoltaic modules.

Director Cheng concluded the article by emphasizing the need to accelerate the establishment of 100-megawatt or even gigawatt-level photovoltaic module recycling and processing lines to verify the economic feasibility and technical maturity of large-scale processing. Only by continuously innovating and promoting the application of more advanced technologies can we truly achieve an economical and green cycle of photovoltaic equipment.
