The National Development and Reform Commission officially released the "Report on the Implementation of the 2025 National Economic and Social Development Plan and the Draft of the 2026 National Economic and Social Development Plan." In this overarching document submitted for deliberation at the National People's Congress, a statement appeared that caught the attention of everyone in the photovoltaic sector:

"Promote the cessation of price declines and the rebound of products such as polysilicon, silicon wafers, and lithium carbonate."

This is not an industry association's proposal, nor is it a self-rescue effort by companies. Instead, it marks the first time a national macroeconomic regulatory department has explicitly included "promoting price increases" in an official document. For the photovoltaic industry, which has been mired in a price slump over the past two years, this is undoubtedly a reassuring pill.
