On June 12，2026，it was learned from the Department of Ecology and Environment of Hubei Province that the cumulative transaction value of solid waste resource utilization transactions on the Yangtze River Ecological and Environmental Rights Trading Platform successfully exceeded 100 million yuan。To date，the platform has completed 42 solid waste transactions，with a cumulative transaction volume reaching 100,000 tons。

The Yangtze River Ecological and Environmental Rights Trading Platform was launched in October 2025，covering multiple trading categories such as carbon emission rights，pollutant discharge rights，solid waste resource utilization，ecological products，and green finance。Among them，solid waste resource utilization covers multiple categories including hazardous waste，waste power batteries，phosphogypsum，construction waste，household waste，and general solid waste。

At the end of last year，the platform completed its first hazardous waste disposal transaction。On March 17，2026，the platform completed its first waste power battery resource utilization transaction，with a transaction amount of 35 million yuan，setting a new record for the highest transaction value of solid waste resource transactions in the province。On March 24，2026，the platform completed its first online transaction of general solid waste。

Leveraging the digital advantages of online listing，intelligent matching，and full-process traceability，the platform connects the entire industrial chain of solid waste generation，storage，disposal，and comprehensive utilization，effectively addressing industry pain points such as information barriers and high regulatory difficulty，and providing strong support for the creation of “zero-waste cities” and the green transformation and upgrading of industries。According to reports，the platform will continue to optimize transaction processes，deepen the “whitelist + platform trading” management model，further smooth channels for solid waste resource utilization，and use market-oriented mechanisms to support ecological protection and green，low-carbon，high-quality development across the province。
