In the past, residents dealing with discarded items often relied on roaming recyclers, facing problems such as opaque pricing, lack of service guarantees, and difficulty transporting bulky items. The launch of “Jingcai Recycling” directly addresses these pain points and builds a citywide, regulated recycling service system. The platform supports location-based nearby searches for smart recycling machines and one-click appointment pickup, with clear prices for various recyclable categories and full visibility into order progress. Together with the previously deployed community recycling stations and smart recycling facilities, Beijing has formed an integrated recycling network of “online platform + offline outlets,” bringing standardized recycling services to thousands of households.

For example, the system can display nearby smart recycling machines based on the user's current location and support one-click navigation. For elderly users and those with mobility difficulties, the mini program thoughtfully provides an online “appointment drop-off” service. Various recyclable items are clearly priced; among them, paper recycling is priced at 0.8 yuan/kg, metal at 1 yuan/kg, plastics at 0.8 yuan/kg, and textiles at 0.5 yuan/kg. Users can select a single category or multiple categories. If they want to save even more effort, they can also bundle all recyclables into one bag and use the “one-bag” recycling service, priced at 0.5 yuan/kg. After filling in the address, selecting the recycling category, and clicking the appointment button in the mini program, they can wait for a professional recycler to come to their door.

In addition to online reservation for “throwing away trash,” the mini program also allows one-click appointment for bulky waste recycling. Large discarded furniture such as sofas, mattresses, and wardrobes are no longer difficult to move or transport. Simply click the bulky waste pickup appointment button in the mini program, fill in the address, and then wait for a professional recycling worker to come to your door. Depending on the category of bulky waste, the recycling price that users need to pay also varies. Construction waste and renovation waste such as discarded panels generated during home decoration or remodeling can also be scheduled for door-to-door pickup through the mini program.

At present, the platform is operating steadily, and its convenience advantages are gradually becoming apparent, earning praise from many residents. As an important measure for urban resource recycling and waste classification management, Beijing's establishment of an official recycling system also provides a practical model for other regions. As domestic waste sorting and renewable resource utilization policies continue to advance, regions across the country are increasing efforts to build standardized recycling systems.
