Current status of the PV module recycling industry in Spain

The collection volume of photovoltaic module waste in Spain increased from 155.13 tons in 2017 to 2,603.33 tons in 2022.

It is estimated that approximately 22,000 tons of photovoltaic module waste were actually processed in 2023.

In 2024, the total collection target for photovoltaic module waste from 9 collective systems and individual systems reached as high as 270,301.41 tons.

ROSI plans to build a factory in Spain, with operations expected to commence in 2025, and a planned annual processing capacity of up to 10,000 tons.
